A Message From our Director

I hope you are staying well and finding ways to express the music in your soul! You and your families have been on our minds and in our hearts as we go through these uncertain times.

I had a wonderful time with you last year as we sang together. The board was unanimous in their decision to welcome me back as your conductor and I was unanimous in my decision to accept.

If you are like me, this quarantine has made you especially hopeful we'll be able to experience Handel's Messiah together again this December. Please note the dates on our website and keep them on your calendar. We'll know about specific plans as time progresses. The board of directors "zoomed" together last week and discussed plans -- and alternate plans. We were all strong in our desire to sing as a choir again, while being prudent and sensitive to everyone's well-being.

As I close, I'm remembering your enthusiastic energy, your powerful sound and your smiling faces as we rehearsed and presented the music monument that is Messiah.

Stay safe and find some time to sing through Messiah. You can find a recording online and practice your sixteenth notes: "doh, doh, doh, doh / doh, doh, doh, doh / DOH's"!
