Welcome 2022! It’s a whole new year and we’re off to a great start. The Cary Community Choir’s (CCC) board of directors have had its first meeting and have begun planning for the 2022 Messiah season. We are delighted to announce that Pepper Choplin will be our Director for the 2022 season. We have already started singer sign up for this year’s performance. Sign up HERE to sing with us.

Carnegie Hall

We have so many exciting things planned. Did you hear that we have the opportunity to sing in one of the world’s greatest concert halls? It’s true! We’ll be singing in Carnegie Hall on May 2, 2022. The Distinguished Concerts International of New York (DCINY) has invited us to participate in the NYC Premiere Performance of The Music of Pepper Choplin in the DCINY Concert Series in New York City. The performance is scheduled for May 2, 2022 at Carnegie Hall under the baton of Maestro Pepper Choplin. Our choir members will join other choristers to form the Distinguished Concerts Singers International (DCSI), a choir of over 200 singers. The choir will have two half-day rehearsals and clinics, culminating in the concert on Monday the 2nd. Many in our choir have sung with DCINY before. In 2017, a group of about 15 CCC members performed Messiah in Carnegie Hall. It was a very memorable experience.

Join Our Board of Directors

This is the time of the year when CCC’s Board of Directors invites interested members to join the board beginning this spring. Term periods are for three years with a maximum of three terms. The board meets about six times a year. Due to the pandemic, the meetings have been Zoom meetings and will continue virtually until it is safe to have live meetings. If you have any questions, want to learn more about what the CCC Board does, or request a Board Member Application form, please send an email to us at carycommunitychoirnc@gmail.com.

Thank You

Thank you for sharing your lovely voices with Cary Community Choir and the community. Our last three seasons have been filled with hope, growth, and resilience. We may have had to adjust and amend our processes and performance rules, but we have been able to continue sharing the joy of Messiah successfully. That really is what it’s all about.
