Hallelujah, it’s 2021! We hope you and your families have been safe and healthy so far this year. We look forward to the season with excitement and hope. Our Board of Directors has been meeting and they’ve started planning for the season. We are pleased to announce that Pepper Choplin will be leading the choir again, as Director. While we’re not sure exactly what type of performance we’ll have yet, rest assured that Pepper will lead us through something wonderful as he did in 2019 and 2020.
We’ve grown immensely over the last few years. In 2019, we had the largest choir to date. In 2020, despite not being able to meet to rehearse or perform in person, we gathered nearly 80 CCC singers and musicians who collaborated in our virtual choir. Interesting fact, the virtual choir has been viewed over 1800 times. Our growth will continue no doubt. We are grateful to all of you who share your beautiful voices and remain dedicated to Cary Community Choir.
Additionally, CCC’s Board of Directors would like to invite interested members to join the board this spring. Term periods are for three years with a maximum of three terms. The board meets about six times a year. Due to the pandemic, the meetings have been Zoom meetings and will continue virtually until it is safe to have live meetings.
